It is a bit tricky to get on the correct road system, but try to line up USGS with Eric's map. The most direct way has a washout per the most current info so you must try to follow Eric's directions. All I can say is the road at the Hoh looks good and is the left pretty much directly below the site. The connector road is narrow and steep. You could choose to hike it, but it will make a long hike to a site with no view. The Hoh area is nice so there are lots of places to camp off the side roads from the Hoh should the park be crowded and full.
