Destination Details for Pyramid Mtn. Lookout

WA Coast

You could stay in the AWS cabin up there. There's a bit of a view, and it was open to the public. The trail has a washed out section that was a bit terrifying a few years back when we did it. It might be in the park, but I think it wasn't so camping there might be ok. I will check later.

Lookout Structure Details for Pyramid Mtn. Lookout: Open to the Public
Olympic National Park

It appears to be always open to the public. It was not actually a fire lookout according to some historians so it is disputed. It was used to spot enemy aircraft - AWS. It is a nice structure, and you could stay in it, but I doubt many do. The approach to this went through a washout, and that area is a bit dicey so be careful. There is a limited view from up there.
