You can drive up to this one. My family had a cabin and a store on the island so this is likely my first structure. In later years, I would only hike to it starting usually at Mountain Lake, but you can start lower for a harder hike. You can stop and rest at Twin Lakes or along Mountain Lake, and the trail is just beautiful towards the top. It is hard to top the view from the summit, and the lookout tower is quite unusual compared to others. Be prepared for throngs at the top on summer days.
