You could backpack and stay at small lake maybe a mile from the lookout. The views from here are amazing. I have been twice and would love to do it as an overnight. In Fall, it is particularly beautiful. First time I went in the fall; second late spring so there was still enough snow to snowshoe the last mile or so. Love this place, but so do a lot of other people. It used to be quiet, but it has become busier - particularly when the snow has melted. Note that much of the GPS track included here was done on snowshoes, so the summer route may be quite different.
