Off the road to Crystal Mountain, we pulled into an empty lot. There was no trailhead sign, but it went up to the ridge of Crystal Mountain and eventually to the gondola and restaurant area. I do not remember how long it was or how much gain, but it was a terrible day weatherwise. We saw no one else. I don't think that trail gets used anymore, but my friend knew about it. This is the peak just north of the summit house (the top of the Gondola). That this was a lookout site is in dispute. It is awfully close to Crystal Peak, and there is much more evidence to support that as a lookout site.
