We went in through a gated road that said "Knowlton Knob" as if it was ok to get to it that way. It was a nice road walk. However, I later heard that people living in there were getting after people for going in that way, and that there is a back way that might work. One car stopped to talk to us as we were on our way out but said nothing to us about not being in there. Good luck!
