You can take the road part way - might even be able to drive up to a good cut off point for lookout if you have higher clearance than we did. Road was overgrowing when we did it. We took off at mildest lookout point and headed cross country for the lookout. We found it pretty grown over as tree growing up the stairs, but we still went up and sat in it. There's likely enough flat spaces around there to stay, but there are no views. It was a cute little tower.
