The lookout site appears to be on a knob just prior to actual summit. It is bare and has an excavated area with rock wall that would have fit an L4 cabin. The peak is full of blowdown and fire damage, but if you continue up to actual summit, look for trail to left instead of going obvious right into the blowdown as that trail will allow you to bypass most of the blowdown. Otherwise, we headed straight up and avoided the worst of it before seeing the trail across summit ridge and back down. There is no water except on Basalt Pass Trail - maybe half mile below the intersection with Basalt Ridge. Just be sure to approach from Basalt Pass trail as Minnow Pass approach was covered in a serious amount of blowdown. Basalt Pass was cleared out.
