There was a lookout structure up there for many years when we would visit as kids. This is a beautiful hike, and therefore, it gets a lot of use. I have also done it as a snowshoe, but that is definitely an avalanche slope in winter so know what you are doing! I have camped down at the lake, and we spread part of my mom's ashes up there per her request.
