There was a tree in the road so we walked a couple miles to get there. It was tick territory, and I ended up in a nest of them before I knew. Dave had to pull some out of my head so beware. The lookout and guard cabin aren't in the best shape. You could probably camp up there, but cabin wasn't really clean.
