This was a woodsy trail that didn't seem to get much use. The old lookout site had a gorgeous view. Don't make the mistake of thinking there's a nice loop to be had based on maps - unless trail has been repaired. It was a lot of up and down on the ridge after the lookout which made for a hard day after 3400 gain, and the trail just disappeared and even with GPS we couldn't see where it went - so much blowdown and what appeared to be a bit of a landslide. If you have lots of daylight, it's ok, but it was November and not a long day so I advise just do this as an out and back.
