This is a pretty steep route. We do it for exercise during winter months so we have been there many times. There are a couple of approaches. What we take is Howard Heights to second right and then up. From there it is a short bushwhack to the towers. There are still lookout footings there and what looks to be an outhouse. Views are nice if you ignore the communication towers now there. The relocated lookout is 30 or so minutes away on private land. It's near Beausite Lake. You can call ahead to the school to see if you can visit it.
