I have gone part way up the strait up approach to Rock Mtn, but I have been to the summit twice via the Snowy Creek approach which is longer - 10 miles - but only 3300 gain. First time it was socked in; next time I camped down in the meadow and spent more time up there in the sun - phenomenal!
