The Standup Creek Road to the start of the hike is best for high clearance. There is some overgrowth and blowdown to navigate but still a pleasant hike. The old road ends at a flat spot with a campfire ring so camping if you haul up water would work. There is a trail from there to the site. There are some remnants.
