You can access this from many routes. I went up once from Thorp Lake as we intended to camp there, but it was raining hard. That time the lookout allowed us to stay up there for a couple hours getting warm; then we bailed. Next time I took a shorter way up from French Cabin Creek side. Last time we took a long, hard way from Kachess Ridge - beautiful, and we had the night along that ridge all to ourselves.
