Lately, we see cars lined up and down the highway near this trailhead on weekends so it's not a place to visit for solitude. It must be tough on the people who are renting it. You can also hike past it along the ridge a bit. Decent views from the lookout, particularly in the early spring when there is still snow on the nearby peaks.
