I've been up there a couple of times now, and I love it up there. You probably could camp up there as enough flat spots. The lookout is great, and the old storage cabin is super cute. I usually don't see a lot of people up there. There is more than one way. We have not gone up from the lake side. Someone on WTA notes you can do a 16 mile loop if you care to.
