It is a rocky go after Bumping Lake. We were all the way to final turn onto Road 1809, but our car's warning lights that sensors not working coupled with no cell service meant we made the call to give it up this time. We were only 5-6 miles out, but it was afternoon plus we had done the horrendous road out from Clover Spring and Little Bald so our brains were not wanting more of the same that day. We will go back in 2025 for larch, lakes, and lookouts.
